Support these three Black-led organizations

Now is the time for action, now is the time for solidarity, now is the time to step up and step in.

This crucial moment is another key point in our long, collective campaign in dismantling systemic racism in the United States. And we all have a key part to play in this continuing struggle.

One way to help take apart the institutions of oppression is to support the work of Black-led organizations that are campaigning for racial and social justice. We ask you to give to Flint Rising, Gulf Coast Center for Law & Policy, and the Institute of the Black World 21st Century.

All have been doing the vital and urgent work in front-line Black and brown communities for many years, exposing the inextricable links between corporate power and systemic racism. These organizations are:

  • Flint Rising, a close ally of ours that is a community-led people-powered movement demanding solutions to the Flint water crisis and accountability for the parties that caused it. It has been more than five years since Flint, Michigan’s water supply switch led to its residents being poisoned. Access to clean drinking water for Black and brown people should never be up for negotiation. Give to Flint Rising now.
  • The Gulf Coast Center for Law & Policy (GCCLP) is another ally advancing structural change that advances climate justice and ecological equity for communities of color on the frontlines of the climate crisis. GCCLP works with frontline communities “targeted by extractive industries including energy, petrochemical, and prison industries.1Its work spans the Gulf South states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Texas. Donate today.
  • The Institute of the Black World 21st Century, another organizational ally of ours, is an “engine for capacity-building and empowerment of Black organizations and communities, utilizing cooperative and collaborative methods and strategies.”2 For almost two decades, it has pursued the goal of inspiring a new, non-exploitative social order that achieves cultural, social, economic, and political equality for all marginalized people. Give today.

Donate to these allies today and thank you for all you do.
