This decision is a vital step toward ending the fossil fuel industry’s interference in our democracy once and for all. Across the U.S. and around the globe, people at every level — local, national, and international — are demanding an end to the fossil fuel industry’s stranglehold over our democratic institutions. This vote is a testament to the strength and breadth of that global movement. But it doesn’t stop here. From the DNC to the UNFCCC, it’s high time Big Polluters are shown the door.
