MAJOR
CONFERENCE
ON
'CORPORATE
ACCOUNTABILITY FOR WORK-RELATED DEATHS'
Tuesday
October 3, 2006, Trades Hall, 85 Glasford Street, Glasgow G1
|
This conference will discuss the decision by the UK government to apply its corporate manslaughter bill to Scotland - preventing the Scottish Executive from legislating on the issue itself. Is this the end of a seperate law on corporate homicide for Scotland and what impact, if passed in its current form, will the Westminister bill have on Scotland? The conference will also look at the role and limitations of Fatal Accident Inquires and review claims that work-related deaths are being under-counted.
