As the Scottish Executive sets up an Expert Panel on Corporate Homicide, this conference brings together the Scottish Executive, employers, trade unions, NHS and Local Government Employers, lawyers and members of the Executive's Panel - to discuss what reform is required to the law of Corporate Homicide in Scotland.

This conference will consider whether there is a real Scottish alternative to the Westminister reform and what this alternative may be. It will look at what should be the nature of any Scottish offence, how it should apply to crown and public bodies, whether it should deal with the accountability of individual directors and what sentences should be available to the courts. It will also consider whether any reforms should also deal with offences involving serious injury
