CCA Conference: Mon, 24 November 2008

"Future of Safety Enforcement "

A MAJOR CONFERENCE ON
Future of Safety Enforcement

Monday, 24 November 2008
Hamilton House, Mabledon Place. London WC1

The conference will examine the current strategies of the Health and Safety Executive and Local Authorities in enforcing health and safety law - and consider whether there is, as some are suggesting, a 'crisis of enforcement' and, if so, what impact this is having. The conference also looks at how the Corporate Manslaughter Act 2007 and the voluntary guidance on directors duties have impacted on Hospital Trusts and Local Government – and whether they have resulted in any improvements in health and safety management. The conference will also look at the Government proposals to reform Coroners law.
