FURTHER DETAILS OF DEATHS
Micky Reed
Micky, an experienced Thames pleasure boat skipper, collapsed during a fracas with a passenger. Micky was involved in a confrontation while the boat was tied up at a pier in central London. Micky died of a heart attack after the fight. Medical students who were nearby tried to help him after he collapsed, but he was pronounced dead at the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel. A postmortem examination showed that Micky died of heart disease, precipitated by stress of assault. Two men were arrested and questioned by murder squad detectives at separate police stations in connection with the incident. Andrew and Christopher Liddard, appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court accused of beating Micky to death at the pier near the Tower of London, where his vessel, Millennium of Peace, was docked.They were remanded on bail to appear at the Old Bailey for a preliminary hearing on October 1. Any inquest
would be held at the London Inner North Coroner's Court.
Otari Hudoian
Otari died when he fell from height while refurbishing a farm building at East Hall Farm in Rainham. His employment details from part of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) enquiry. An inquest is to be held at the London East Coroner's Court on a date yet to be set. Brian Parry
